Just about sums it all up for me.

The West sees it as a Pariah state, and even in the West some refuse to all out condemn Russia. The West is a minority in this, globally. The majority does not care or does Business as usual with Russia.

Sadly, to a large degree, that's true. However, in Africa, various countries are rethinking their connections with Russia and China. These countries are beginning to understand that Russia and China aren't the benevolent benefactors that they portray themselves to be but rather exploiters of the vast mineral resources to be found in Africa and in their respective countries. Russia and China care very little about any human sufferings, carnage or deaths this may cause in the host countries as they scramble for resources. In some cases, these areas are controlled by Tribal Warlords and not unified governments.

Kremlin Conducts Chilling Nuclear War Drills Across Russia to Prepare for Potential WWIII

In a chilling moment for residents of Russia, sirens sounded, and children wore gas masks as the country simulated the response to a potential World War III.

Eerie sirens and doomsday-like messages were broadcast as the Russian government conducted a nuclear war drill, Knewz.com has learned.

Russia planned the drills part of preparation for a nuclear attack from the West, which the Kremlin considers the aggressor in world relations. The drills come as Russia is suspected of testing a nuclear missile.

Disturbing footage showed schoolchildren being instructed on how to correctly wear gas masks, according to the Daily Star.

The drill, equipped with sirens and loudspeakers, was conducted across all 11 time zones in Russia. "Attention everyone. There is a check of readiness of the warning system to the population. Please remain calm," blasted through the country as messages flashed on screen and interrupted TV programs.

Emergency services were gathered in hazmat suits and a group ran from a building carrying a dummy body on a stretcher while accompanied by a pack of dogs, according to the news outlet.

High-level Russian officials and police were hunkered down in bunkers during the country's first nation-wide civil defense exercise.

Though Russians have said the United States and other Western countries would be the likely culprits of a possible nuclear attack, it's unclear if that is Russia President Vladimir Putin's real fear or mere propaganda.

Irina Tsukerman told The Express that "Putin is not seriously concerned about possibility of a nuclear or other major scale attack by NATO."

Continuing, "The practice of martial law is particularly useful as Putin continues to crack down and isolate Russia from external influence. In reality, Russia is not preparing for a nuclear attack; it's preparing for a long-term imposition of internal restrictions, such as martial law."

The U.S. was also expected to issue a public emergency warning system at 2:20 p.m. EDT on October 4.

When you think this invasion is going OK for Russia, the damn rubble is back in the kitchen sink.

Also, those various countries are smaller markets that will not import that much from Russia as the western market did with the rubble on low Russia export will be much lower in price than when it traded with the west I do not see a win for Russia again here Russia economy is no soviet economy any more, so it will hurt and fall more.

And again the question raises whose side Bubble Olaf really is on. Spokesman made it clear that Germany will not deliver Taurus. Asked why not when France and Britain already do (Scalp/Storm Shadow), Babble Olaf gets quted with that "these can do what Germany is not perimitted to". He gets also quoted with that he fears the missiles would be used to destroy the Kerch bridge. Obvioulsy he loves the Kerch bridge just too much.

A friend asked me a good question

When reading about all the success the Ukrainians has on the battlefield, one would expect them to have reached the Azov Sea and the Black Sea.
They haven't they have only succeeded partial.

I must say he is somehow right.

The success is only a few hundred meters per week or so.

Success on the battlefield is not always measured in gaining ground Ukraine faces a bigger army their success is making the Russian army smaller and weaker will not give them gains in area now but if keeping hammering the enemy enough it will not be able of defending that area.

"Germany is not perimitted" a Swedish-German air-launched cruise missile not permitted by the Swedish?

Russia Withdraws Black Sea Fleet Vessels From Crimea Base After Ukrainian Attacks
Russia has withdrawn the bulk of its Black Sea Fleet from its main base in occupied Crimea, a potent acknowledgment of how Ukrainian missile and drone strikes are challenging MoscowÂ’s hold on the peninsula. Russia has moved powerful vessels including three attack submarines and two frigates from Sevastopol to other ports in Russia and Crimea that offer better protection, according to Western officials and satellite images verified by naval experts. The Russian Defense Ministry didnÂ’t respond to a request for comment... https://www.wsj.com/world/russia-wit...tacks-51d6d4f5
