This is "the director's cut" of First Strike, a kind of a PSA that ran on California PBS stations before it kind of faded into the national debate.

I've posted the "full" versions of First Strike before but this version of the first half contains the full presentation. Confused yet?

First Strike was actually a sales pitch for the MX Missile using the "shell game" basing scheme. It was also an intro into the 1980 presidential election which indirectly painted Jimmie Carter as "weak".

The only thing that did survive was the MX Missile which was later re-named as the Minuteman III and is still currently based in the old silos.

The sound quality mostly stinks but this is the full presentation of the first half of a some-what specious worst case scenario.

Its an oddity from a hotter period during the cold war. Make some pop corn and enjoy.
