Google Earth/Maps is awesome for stuff like that... there is a whole forum dedicated to military installations in Google Earth.

I love cruising around in the former USSR, China, and NK looking for cool stuff.

Theres a cool placemark collection with over 600 visible shipwrecks, including old subs and stuff scattered around the SU.
