After Scapa Flow when the 3rd reich purchased a good amount of the steel recovered from the Kaisers Navy.
I Have begun a UBoat rpg and am giving the Uboat the players are on a bit of history and am wondering if it would be possible to say the steel came from the SMS Kaiser. Even give it a honorary plaque as certification. Both to give the crew a bit of affection to the boat and allow a bit of mysticism elements. But I'm unable to find any evidence the hulls that were scrapped after the mass scuttling had any recording like that done or if it was even possible given that Germany was just frantically melting it down for the new fleet. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance |

![]() Yes, I'm finding pretty much nothing so far. It's a long shot to believe such details were recorded but I was hoping to find documentation such as receipts from Krupp or something. At the moment its looking like in order to be faithful I shouldn't just have a image of Jutland or some other Naval pic and just have the Captain give a inspirational speech or something about how the boat was made from various hulls. |
