I've noticed something on NPR which I find stupidly woke: they seem to never refer to pregnant women as women, but as "pregnant people," I guess because some "men" can have babies.

In German the correct term now is "gebärende Person": birthing person.

Be careful if calling a man not by his chosen female name or a woman not by her chosen male name: that is now a punishable offence in Germany and I dont know in how many other states (the EU enforces it in all EU states) and can get you into prison. Not just monetarian penalty - PRISON.

When 30 years ago my love and fiancee was murdered by a drunk car driver slamming into her, he got fined a few thousand D-Marks, and had to give up his driving license for a few months - that was all. Just a few years later he drove again drunk and caused another debacle with several seriously injured and one paralysed from neck down.

But saying that there are men and that there are women and that genes decide it - that of course is a so very much more serious capital crime, the offender must get his brain raped and and reaosn and rationality must be exorcised and he must be forced to believe that a hand has not five but three fingers only - oh all fire and brimstone shall rain down on the renegate, he cannot be punished seriously enough!

Its an increasingly totalitarian total nuthouse over here. Before I die one day I hope I can enjoy seeing it all blowing up in thunder and flames. I have so very much enough of all this rotten dirt.

George Orwell warned us. And his worst warnings all come true. We see it all around us happening. Language mutilation is one tool, deleting all human individuality and what makes peopel distinctive form eahc other, is the other. In all political acting nowadays, in all media, both have become the daily bread and butter of the actors. Think about it. Its frightening. It absolutely is.

Meh, I call them like I want. I am conscious of the social brainwashing that we have been bombarded with in entertainment and news media; slow, steady coercion to conform and comply, that subtle pressure to follow the new attitudes or feel shameful. BS. I've gotten old enough now to see it for what it is: stupid.

Another liberal mindset that is coming back to bite them: the education policies. I saw firsthand during my abortive stint at becoming a teacher. I was instructed that it was "better for the kids" to have an inclusive policy where all the students were mixed together--the smart kids, the troublemakers, the lazy, and stoopid kids--put them together in the classroom. That's so empty-headed stupid, my father pointed it out 50 years ago when I was a kid. You put the dumb kids and the kids who can't sit still in the classroom with the normal kids who will follow instruction, listen and try to learn: you get a classroom where the misbehaving kids get 90% of the teacher's attention just trying to get them to shut up and listen. The smart kids get nothing done, the diligent and obedient children get less attention and education, and the whole class suffers. All this is OBVIOUS, but ha, no, I was told firmly, smugly that being inclusive was the way to go.

We now have several generation of idiots, all whom have the right to help decide policy and vote.

And this generation is going to teach the next gen... what do you think the outcome will be?

It's mildly amusing to watch liberals slowly wake up to this issue, yet they just can't quite figure out what's wrong, what the problem is.

How would we, who are above 45 years old, describe what's going on with the kids and the young ones ?

I think many Dems in America are still true liberals, but deplore the progressive culture. The problem is progressives control the party and when these common sense moderate Dems vote... Dem, they vote control to the far left progressives which in the end gives the far left nuts control of committees and policy. Half of America is still fighting the far left progressive movement, but they have strong backing from global corporatist. I use to think a civil war in America was unthinkable, but not so sure now. I'm not sure what the answer is as moderates and the right have mostly sit back afraid of labels to fight back because the left controls so much of social media. I think that's why progressives are so intent on legally controlling language, once they do that, it's game over for the constitution.

I'm marooned on a planet where kids can have their genitalia surgically altered without parental permission, but I have to provide Steam with my birth date to look at the page for a computer war game.

We should change the name from, "Planet Earth" to "Planet Renfield". I'm glad I'm old. I feel sorry for my kids and grandchildren.
