Would I be correct in thinking that "Die Toten Hosen" translates to "The Dead Trousers"?

Mike really needs to improve his taste of "music" !
![]() "tote Hose" is a proverb in German (fully acceptable in common usage, btw.) . If you find yourself in a situation that you characterize as "tote Hose", then you mean that it is boring, nothing is happening, it is not interesting and that there is nothing that could get things going. It probably derives from complaints of wifes that their husbands for some reasons refuse to function in the biological way and order they would have hoped and expected after the lights went out. ![]()

Hey, that was '80's/early 90's and I was under the influence of "Parkbrau". Of course, can't complain much about the "Scorpions" (well, that orchestra bit was very un-metal).
Yours, Mike |
