bullhorn What apparel would you buy?

Hi all 🙂

As some of you know, I have a YouTube channel featuring primarily submarine content.

https://www.youtube.com/beckshobbyproductions

It has grown over the past couple of years primarily due to my video of the German type VII.

I was thinking about opening up for Tshirt sales later this year, however since I need to invest in the needed design work, I wanted to get some audience feedback.
The designs will not center around promotion my channel - I am way to small to have brand appeal 😊

My audience is male, +45 year and about 25-30% US based, followed by 5% or less for Germany and the UK.

My ideas for design looks centers around a quote and a simple graphic.

F.ex.
"Loss!" and a graphic of a torpedo being launched (side view)
"I love the smell of Diesel in the morning..." and a siluette of a US Gato class

My question to you is very simply : would you buy a t-shirt like this?

In your answer please share why/why not
If not, what would be a better solution?
Feel free to share the country you are from

Any feedback is welcome!

Hi,

since you must invest first before hoping for revenues, I think the question you better should ask is: would anyone who does not know subsim.com buy such stuff? This forum community may buy some due for sympathy, but does this give you any reach beyond this very small pool of maybe-customers - and I would also expect that even most subsim members would not care to buy, even less so with international shipping.

Careful with your money! You target an absolute niché market.

The pitch/link would go to visitors of my videos which are currently about 5000 pr day by a link in my videos.
Also it would via a collaboration using a YouTube affiliate, available globally.

The investment from my side would not be great and would come from my existing revenue from the channel.
That being said I would still like to get an idea if I am completely missing the mark on the ideas.

I wouldn't wear a t-shirt, but I might consider an old time looking metal sign for the wall in my man cave. Just an example of the kind of thing I'm talking about - but submarine related

I would send that through quality control before printing the shirts.
