NYGM 2.0 is required and any graphics or sound mod is ok also as long as they do not change the basic way NYGM runs the game.

WAW is great if you like role playing and obeying orders. Keep in mind that you have to abide by BDU such as stay in assigned patrol orders, can't choose your type boat assignments nor you patrol grids. Forget about boat upgrades everything has to pass through BDU. It is a very authentic experience complete with red tape to give it more flavour. These people try to simulate what it was like back then complete with war shortages thus delays for new equipment...

So if you like this kind of organization go for it. If you are more of a gunho kind of person then you might not enjoy the structure of it but try it out anyway you never know. If you turn out not to like it then no harm done just quit.

Hope this helps

I joined back on 3 Feb 2006 when SH3 was beginning to lose it's lustre.

As of today, I'm till at it with two combatant personas, one non-combatant (see Ilse at the Kaiser bar at the 2nd Flot.) and am now XO of the 7th.

No intentions of shelving it any time soon. WaW put life back into what was becoming redundant.

I highly recommend it.

Cheers!
