Dwarf Fortress Steam Edition gets a release date (Dec 6th)

How is the Steam edition? A few months back I decided once and for all to dive into this and not stop until I understood it but then I got incredibly hung up trying to install the damn thing. Though to be fair, it may have been because I was trying to get it to work on a Mac which I have little experience with.

Some growing pains with the new UI that are to be expected, but otherwise it's been fantastic!
