The value of breaks is overrated. Instead of making tea crews should smoke weed while storming forward.

Nothing wrong with sparking one up once in awhile. But never on the job, especially driving a tank.

Might I suggest a nice sticky ‘Purple Hindu’ during your next evening break. Slow come up (even for the novice), long peak high and easy way down, mild psychedelic effects, beautiful mood, uncontrollable laughter if watching a comedy on TV, movie Hot Rod is a good one. Wake up the next morning feeling physically and mentally wonderful, ready to hop in a MBT and take over the world. Lol

Only one thing you missed when you make mention of the 'survivability' of the tank crew and that is 'comforts', the British Challenger comes with a BV (Boiling Vessel) which enables the crew to have a cuppa and heat food

In fact, this has been the case with every tank designed since the Centurion in the 1960's
Having afternoon tea while flying across a battlefield guns blazing! Only the Brit’s could come up that design feature!

I'm sorry Mr Manufactor but this tank is worthless, bad armour can't fire more than 5 shots then you have to wait 30 minutes for the barrel to cool down. No fix those problems and we may reconsider our standpoint.

Sir-Did I tell you that with each tank comes a water boiler and free tea to the crew.

Well that's another story...I order 100 to start with.

His numbers are extremely hypothetical, considering that he speaks of 1000 somethign Russian tanks killed, and 1000 something Russian tanks: but the usual estimations or coutnign data by third parties for tanks killed for sure already are at over 2500 (and that excludes IFVs and APCs, to be clear on that, these count with over 5500 losses).

All this however is stuff for the Ukraine war thread, I think.

Lets focus on the reasonability - or lack of - of having new Abrams X, KF-51 Panther and in the future the Challenger-3. The Polish also get new tanks, but do not buy from Germany anymore, but buy Southkorean K-2 Black Panthers and other stuff from there. The reason is political, not technical.
