I would accept your explanation on the "racist" comments written on German newspapers being "satire" only if I didn't witness the DISGUSTING whistling and booing practically all the Germans in the Dotrmund stadium participated in when the Italian anthem was playing. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, but you got what you deserve. Whistling and booing at the start, crying at the end. I was in tears too...of joy, seeing German fans all depressed.

Secondly, many of the nasty comments were reported here in Britain, too...not only in Italy. You also seemed to have missed Podolski's Nazi salute after winning against Argentine...AND the disgraceful scenes the Germans participated in against the Argentinians at the end of the match, caused by the Germans I may add.

Germany also adopted dirty tactics, by re-laying the pitch (for absolutely no reason) the day before the Italy-Ukraine match knowing they would play one of the two in the next round. This put all the players at risk of a serious injury..the British commentators couldn't believe they would do that...and the players were sliding everywhere.

Germany were very poor hosts...which is a shame.

To answer the idiots who keep on harping on about the scandal in Italy. Well, there is a scandal in Britain too, very similar to Italy. The only thing is, they buried it over here...at least in Italy they do something about it, and don't accept it. Oh yeah...and Air Emirates sponsoring Chelsea...then the next year all the referees start wearing "Air Emirates" on their Jerseys...and all of a sudden, Chelsea start winning. So eff off...it doesn't just happen in Italy...they are just more honest over there and don't bury it.

And to answer the person who said "it was a bad world cup"...I wonder how many you've seen? 1? I've seen them all since I was a wee lad...and it was one of the best...for sure. Italy made history by only taking 2 goals...an own goal and a (dubious) penalty.

p.s. The Grosso penalty against Australia was valid. Why did the Australian player go to ground, if not to trip him? And...inthe game, Italy were playing in 10 for most of the match, unfairly.

Though Italy a very deserved champions. If you think the bastard Blatter hates Italy...they one going against everyone...even FIFA. Notice how the fat pig Blatter didn't present the Cup to the Italian team? That was scandalous...but the cup is in Italy for 4 years and no one can take it away.

p.s. 30 billion people watched Italy pull off the greatest ever world cup tournament win.

edit: anyway...so much for FIFAS no racism policy...we had racist comments in german newspapers, racist german fans whistling someone elses national anthem, racist german players giving nazi salutes when they scored a goal. Luckily the good guys won in the end. Germany...you have nazi resurgence as your problem...that's all we needed...nationalism on the rise in a nation which throughout history has proved not a very good member of earth and which we needed to kill million of to put them back in their place.
