When you "just" got the game, I advise you to learn the game first in single player.
Els you will be shot to to pieces every time and probable have no idea from where.

the single player is ok but i hear player subs are about 100x quiter than the normal ones and i was gonna ask if i could join the GNSF but u need icq and i dont use icq i dont trust it i got hacked on it before so do u know of anyother fleets that offer training

lol, Dave. Learn how to use the P3 Orion and stop launching helicopters when you're going flank. Multiplayer isn't really much different from single player, except that real people are controlling some of the platforms.

You're in for a big surprise in multiplayer if you play against valid oponents.

Thanks for that tip, goldorak. Now I know that no matter what depth or speed a player submarine is, or what kind of equipment they are using or firing, they will be 100 times quieter than if it was controlled by AI.

One way to get hacked is to accept incoming files. I
f you use the program only to chat the probability of hacking goes down to 0.000001%.
