Seriously 5 seconds is indeed a lot, but a material to withstand solar temperatures for a longer time will have to be developed, even if the plasma can be contained in a magnetic bottle.

Thanks to humanity's priorities there is no money for a worldwide health systems, for education or for more scientific research. War and elections cost more .. if only 5 percent of humanity's efforts would be concentrated on such research ..
