I guess that is part of it, the struggle. But it's a funny thing with SH3. I like the crew management part of it. I never liked it in SH4, it seemed pointless to me.
Uboat is just overkill,..."I said rig for silent running" than you gotta take em by the hand and go turn everything off. I don't even know where to start with SH5!!!

I just think SH3 strikes the right balance. Still gotta tuk em in every now and then but its not hand holding or why bother.

Having a two man P/M crew linked to how often you might see malfunction just adds another layer of..."OH CRAP"
Look into the Randomized events.cfg file in Commander and all will become clear.

Thanks, this might actually be doable.
Unlike getting AI to use flak guns on ships. I've had no luck with that. thinking it's in the exe. and will need hex edit to work.

but having some small control over malfunctions using P/M could be fun too.
