A terrible incident seems to have happened on the Danish Football team.

Christian Eriksen, fell suddenly. The other players called for help and a few minutes later, you could see Christian get CPR.

So now the game is suspended until further notice.

Edit.
What I understand from what I've heard
He suffered acute cardiac arrest. They manage to get his heart back in action.
End edit

I hope you must not feel personally too effected, mapuc, due to him being from your country. Not knowing you I dont know what your stand is on such national identity things.

Game is said to be continued soon, while the man is awake and stable in hospital.

I dont feel comfortable with the decision to continue.

They said in the analysis on tV that in recent years screening programs in clubs have been boosted and perfected - but only because more such incident have happened worldwide over the same period of time. Which says something, and what it says is not positive.

Isn't sport said to be a benefit for your health...?

It was the first thing I noticed fromthis tournament, and then this. I am simply not itnerested in it all. I do not even know about the German team, when it plays, and against whom. Not interested.

Game has restarted which shows me where the organisers priorities lie.

Early signs are he is awake and not in imminent danger which is where my priority would lie.

It's the knee benders turn tomorrow (England) I won't watch those woke pillocks so I'll select the night match again.

Netherlands vs Ukraine

I expect the Netherlands to keep my 100% record intact and to add some flair to the proceedings which has been lacking so far.

Ooooh you're not much good at this prediction thingie Markus, stick to one game per day in the group stages old boy as it's much easier.

Being a favorite isn't the same as they will win..
I had Denmark as winner-well you lose most of them and win very few of them.

I played something called Bet13. You have to predict the outcome of 13 Euro matches-From Turkey-Italy to Finland-Russia. Home win = 1, Draw = X away team win = 2.

Don't try and squirm your way out of it Markus as it's very unbecoming of you, you didn't go against those favourites you mentioned so they are yours to own up to.

I know and I seem to have lost a few bucks on this.

I believe the Scotland team are taking the pragmatic approach and only kneeling if the other team does it.

Not a footie person, but it's been amusing seeing the fans up here getting their hopes up, aided and abetted by the press, particularly BBC Scotland.

We'll see how far they go before they get knocked out.

Mike.

We should start a competition on which home nation gets booted out first, my bet would be Scotland, Wales and then England, one thing I do know is none of them will be in the final. That statement might just come back at me and bite me in the butt.

Great start to the competition beating Croatia by the only goal in the game and the first time in the last ten competitions England have won their first game.

Was surprised Southgate started the match with Stirling, especially after the stinker he had in the Champions League final but hey, what do I know?
