Silent Service (History Channel)
Searching for a History Channel (back when it was the actual History Channel) documentary from around 2000 or so. Keith David (actor) narrated it. There are clips on youtube but it was a four part series I believe and have not been able to find it online. Kind of shocked actually. Just wondering if anyone here has a link or ?

Are you referring to this one:
https://docuwiki.net/index.php?title...Silent_Service His FilmReference bio says Narrator, Silent Service (documentary), History Channel, 2001 ... and there is this with a "Part 2" in the right gutter |

That is from an old US television series. That is Season One, Episode Thirteen. Really cool stuff, bad acting and all. If we could only get our Balao boats to leap out of the water like that in SH4...

I have watched every episode of the series can find on Youtube and overall a great series, even with the bad acting lol. I love that Admiral Tommy Dykers is the host. First time saw the series and he introcued himself, hit me that the way Calvert describes him in "Silent Running" was dead on. I also like how many people involved in stories were still living then and thus were featured as guests at the end, many were senior or flag officers by that point. Always nice to put a face and voice with a name Even though can tell they were kind of nervous in most cases and were a little awkward lol. O ' Kane was on an episode. I have yet to see one with Fluckey, surely he was on there. |

That episode had an actor playing Fluckey. But he did speak at the end.

I tried searching in both the History Channel and History Channel Vault apps on my Roku, but didn't find anything like what you're looking for.

I recall watching it back around 2000/2001 on history channel, first time I had heard of Morton, O Kane, or the Wahoo. Series was about US submarines, but included portion on Wahoo and Morton. This along with the Americans Five Star Heroes series...which chronicled careers of all Admirals and General to reach five star rank was a great one as well. This clip is all I have been able to find. Narrator is the actor Keith David |

Anyone familiar with this series?
Ran across it and was wondering if hunting down more of it was worthwhile.
