Discused in SH2 and in SH3 before, the amount of shells needed to sink a ship.

The hull of merchants was not an armored tank, they was thiny, and the shells, i dont remember by recall but had 7 or 8 kg of explosives de 88 mm and about 10 or 12 the 105mm with a total weight of 15/17 kg.

Enough explosives to open a hole in the thiny hull of old and cheap merchants.

The interior of compartements was not a clear surface, the merchant crew can not to put an adhesive sticker on each hole.

I think so, few holes become uncontrolable for the merchant crew, a pair on each compartement will become out of repair or flood control capabilities.

A ship with 10 compartements and 2 on each 20 holes on the waterline, must to sink with no chance of survive, even with few holes.

Just an opinion....
