Back in the day when Great Britain really did build great aircraft, even the Americans loved the Vulcan and i can remember a video some years ago where the Vulcans simulated attacks on the USA against the Strategic Air Command and faired pretty well over US Cities.
The one thing i do question in my 40 something years on this planet is that the Soviets/Russians still send updated versions of the TU95 to test our QRA, how much money have NATO spent to intercept the same platform over the last 70 years, at the end of the day the Long Range Bomber is all but a stand off deliery platform so in an all out nuclear conflict it is bascially a logisitcal platform delivering its passengers much the same as an SSBN would be. |

asymmetric engagement warfare
this in a nut shell sums up Russia military NAVY & air force reconnaissance tactics also under sea surveillance & Undersea Cable Tapping they are excellent at using a few assets to make us use a load their navy only goes to sea now and a gain ours is 100% in service more for less they have fewer ships even less that are modern and capable yes they are expanding at a good rate but do not forget they are losing loads that are too far gone to modernize or not compatible to be modernized so their modernization is slow "AND HARD TO MOD because its a MESS" THIS is also why you see russian ships Bristling with weapons THIS isent a good idear tho 1.) less room for your crew 2.) way dearer maintenance costs 3.) More chance of Malfunctions 4.) more chance for explosions from enemy fire "Hell even their air craft carrier "Admiral_Kuznetsov" has VLS" "MIND YOU they class it as Aircraft-Carrying Heavy Cruiser" thats actually a good idea given the larger excess flat top space on a carrier or the sides also if your crews are not in service all the time they lose their edge no matter how good you can not beat real life experience HANDS ON !!!! A BOOK or a simulation is ok but its not for real for starters YOU YOUR SELF KNOW ITS NOT FOR REAL this matters ...... and will all ways matter theirs a old saying ALL THE GEAR AND NO IDEAR i can give a new solider the better equipment but a experienced solider will do more with less same apply,s to the air force or navy Ill give a example on a firing range once i saw a solider start a live fire training course it was timed what you were suppose to do was conserve your ammo shoot as many targets as possible as fast and as best you could no solider was given a brief and only one mag of 30 rounds then told to Go !!!!!!! this was multi nation exercise any ways a few went in took a min or so then this new guy went in & came out VERY FAST & said "you haven't given us enough ammo" so we went in AND .... he had blown all 30 rounds on the first target NOT ideal i could have used a few navy examples but that one stayed with me ive got some spare time tomorrow ill try make some V bombers & that Nimrod ive not forgotten "sonicninja" Steel Shark

this is the first go at a Vulcan needs texturing tho
for armament thinking Blue Steel Early on then the GAM-87 Skybolt System The Avro Blue Steel was a British air-launched, rocket-propelled nuclear armed standoff missile, built to arm the V bomber force. It allowed the bomber to launch the missile against its target while still outside the range of surface-to-air missiles (SAMs). The missile proceeded to the target at speeds up to Mach 3, and would trigger within 100 m of the pre-defined target point. Blue Steel entered service in 1963, by which point improved SAMs with longer range had greatly eroded the advantages of the design. A longer-range version, Blue Steel II, was considered, but cancelled in favour of the much longer-range GAM-87 Skybolt system from the US. When development of that system was cancelled in 1962, the V-bomber fleet was considered highly vulnerable. Blue Steel remained the primary British nuclear deterrent weapon until the Royal Navy started operating Polaris ballistic missiles from Resolution-class submarines. For In game purposes ill make "Blue Steel & Skybolt" Very Large One hit Very fast Ship Killer Missile,s Steel Shark
