Hi Mardigan,

No problem. You have been a massive help in getting me to install LSH3. One last question, is LSH3 version 2015 that is in the download section of the forum the most current version or is their a newer version available for download?

Thanks so much for your help!!!

LSH32015 the most recent, however, LSH32020 should be released soon.

Default Anti-Aliasing problem

Ok, I installed LSH3 2015 successfully and tested it and it works great!!! The one problem is that I can't seem to get rid of the "jaggies" on my U-Boat and ships in the 3D view.

I used the "Nvidia Control Panel" to make a setting for LSH that forces anti-aliasing and Anisotrophic filtering. Under manage 3D settings I set it for the LSH program with the following settings:

Anisotrophic filtering 16x
Antialiasing Mode- Override any application settings
Antialiasing setting- 4X

But see no changes, still terrible jaggies. Is there a trick to turning on anti-aliasing for LSH3 ???

In an effort to get rid of the "jaggies" and pixelated ships (from a distance) while playing LSH3 2015, I would like to increase the game resolution from 1360 x 768 to 1920x1080.

I have activated the "LSH3_GUI_WIDESCREEN" mod using JGME.

But this is in only 1360 x 768 resolution. Still leaving the "jaggies and pixelated ships" problem.

If I directly change the resolution in the d3d9.cfg file to 1920x1080, the GUI looks terrible.

Is the ARB Widescreen 1920x1080 Mod compatible with LSH3 2015?

ARB is compatible, I’ve been using it to raise the resolution in LSH3.
You will just loose LSH3 add-on GUI maps and Infos...
This 1360X768 Original LSH3 GUI resolution is a no go on my PC set up. Full jaggies like no anti aliasing. Hope next LSH3 2020 will have a decent resolution.

Hey

Apologies for not being around for a bit. Had some.. rough seas (bodywise) to deal with & get through.

As is, (at this point in time, as was pointed out already...) yeah LSH3-2015 is the latest version about right now. You got it downloaded, installed & working is good. Also glad to hear the issue with jagged tearing issues are solved for now, as well.

That said, & again, as was already pointed out, there is a newer version of LSH3 on the horizon. last reports on it, was for release sometime near the end of the year.. November, as I recall, maybe December at the latest.

Hopefully, the trials & tribulations with v2015, of it.. will be rectified with the newer version release (one can hope, any way..) & to be frank about it, am looking forward to testing out the new version, upon its release.

Until such time as that occurs, may you have fair winds, smooth seas & plentiful targets in the mean time.

M. M.

Hey Kaleun Zap...

Noted & appreciated. I'm glad to be under better weather, 4 days ago was not the case... what with paying tribute at the head for several hours til I had nothing left to pay as tribute, putting it mildly as I can.

Still NOT 100% but doing a whole lot better than to begin with & can only get better, as can be.

Dear SH3 friends

The German «LSH3 project» needs help with the translation of German texts into English.

The supermod "Living Silent Hunter 3" has been 95% compatible with the English language for years.

However, a few (graphical) contents have never been translated into English.

For the upcoming Supermod version "LSH3 - Edition 2020" we now want to fix this last language "bug".

I'm looking for SH3 players (german to english translators) who have very good knowledge about seafaring!
(Online translations via Google is not sufficient)

Please get in touch - by MAIL! - to urmel@lsh3.com ! Thanks a lot.

The following LSH3 information boards should be translated into English:

I can send the German texts of these pictures separately for translation.
Or also as Photoshop project file (.PSD).

Contact me by Mail urmel@lsh3.com or by Skype User Name Ariel_Urech

I am looking forward to your support so that we can finish "LSH3 - Edition 2020" before the end of this year!

Best wishes from Switzerland

Once I get through checking over the English translations in the mission files (hopefully by end of next week), I’d be happy to take a look at this.

Dear "derstosstrupp" (Matt)

I know you are in contact with LSH3-Blueduck.
Thank you very much for wanting to translate the texts for "Single-/Multimission"!
Damn, it is a complicated work for SH3 files.
I am very grateful for your ongoing work!

Here I ask for more people who could translate German texts into English in the near future.
If no one answers, you are the only one who can translate DE into EN!

Question: Do you have Skype?
Can we talk about SKYPE live? Together with Andrew and Blueduck?

Greets, LSH3-Urmel

Can someone please correct “Seerohr” to “Sehrohr”? Also “Periskoptiefe” wasn’t used back then, “Sehrohrtiefe”. I’d also question looking for mines through the periscopes - are we sure this is feasible in real life?

I would also change “Geschwindigkeit” to ”Fahrt” when dealing with own boat speed or enemy speed. Geschwindigkeit was used for torpedo speeds but not the speed of vessels.

Addendum, 11.10.2020

Hello friends

First of all, thank you very much for the private feedback!

We have now found good people who want to work on the translations.

For the moment we do not need any further enquiries.

Thanks to all who are involved in the topic and especially to Oncle Neal for the mediation.
