This is question to my American friends.
Do you have enough information on your candidate, so you can say he deserve my vote that's 100 % sure. Or do you do what your guts tells you or do you vote by family tradition ? Markus |

It could also be which values and political ideology they alight them selves with and which is the best match party wise. I highly doubt many vote a certain way out of family tradition. At this point the battle lines seem clear to me Conservative or Right winger of any description:, Trump even if you dont like him much. Liberal scared of rioting and want civility, reluctantly hold nose and Trump (and tell no one) Liberal sypathetic to the rioting, and a sworn never Trumper: Biden Far left, Biden. because while he is liberal and you hate liberals almost as much as conservatives, you can maniupulate him/them to support your cause. Trump Landslide Id bet. To follow up on the exodus, no I really dont think its a conspiricy to turn red states blue, Riots and crimewaves freak people out, their jobs have either gone remote, or just gone period and city rents are still high. if they can they are leaving, simple as that. Imagine that Obama or Clinton would have called for this. The outcry! The fervor!!! The DRAMA!!!!!
But when Trump does it - its fine, its for a good cause, its for making a point. Stay cool, stay silent, act as if nothign happened, walk on, nothing to be seen here. Just El Presidente calling for committing a crime, lets not play this up. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/09/03/p...ing/index.html Any advocates here? If a normal coitizen would stand in public and tell thge passing people to commit voter fraud, calling for and encouraging the committment of crime - would the police left him untouched? Quote:

Its CNN (are you sure they didnt take something out of context) since they have Trump in their corsshairs 24/7. just as Fox are going to say Dems are conspiring to fiddle the election via mail in voter fraud without any real proof.
Yep ok I watched the clip he was talking about voters recieving unsolicited mail in ballots. Trump was being a tool as usual - and CNN have taken it somewhat out of context. Its gotten so bad both sides are conviced the other is going to cheat. Unless they win and then magically they wont care anymore. thats democracy now, No more losers consent- they must accuse the winner of cheating, will they ever prove it? probably not. vicious circle of paranioa. Most Democrats will vote party line because they always have. However, I believe some of them will cross party lines for this election. Those that switch this time will do so because they see the violence in major Dem cities and are "disturbed" by it. Some of them also know that Trump has been attacked during his first term with a lot of BS that was invented/manufactured by the left.
Republicans will vote Trump and will come out in force. The silent party--moderates/independents--will ~70% go Trump imo. Independents have always had more work to do to decide who to vote for as they need to research both candidates. That means they are "usually" the ones who have a more informed reason of who they vote for. There is also an unknown percentage of people who know a vote for Biden is a vote for Harris. Personally, I am in that group. I was a care-taker for my mother when she began her struggle with alzheimer's so I am very familiar with that look that Biden gets when he screws up. And I am truly sorry that he is pressed into the position others have placed him for their own reasons. I don't wish that disease on any person--but I really think he is in early stages. Anyway--those people will vote Trump. Those who blindly trust MSM for their information will never change. That goes for both sides. MSM is not news but has become blatant propaganda pedaling in the last few years. If you want real news you are now forced to to seek it in alt media sites and that requires effort. Again, counting on Any MSM media platform for accurate information is now futile. Unfortunately, many don't know how to seek out accurate information (and I understand their problem in that case) or they are just too plain lazy to do actual research to find the truth. For the last group, there is no excuse. They are plain lazy. I see a land-slide for Trump unless there is voting fraud. And I really don't like the guy. I wish he'd stay silent and lead rather than spout off on every issue. His approach (New York Brash) tends to be divisive... And I dislike Harris for obvious Socialist reasons. Trump will never push a socialist agenda while Harris will actively pursue one. Now for my prediction and I REALLY Hope I am wrong. Hang on to your socks America. When Trump wins, the left will not accept it. The violence in our cities today will be forgotten because it will go into overdrive. Civil unrest will be like a stick of dynamite compared to the lady-finger we've seen so far. The economy could tank as well not due to many reasons other than unrest. And if the US gets in to such a serious circumstance that all energy is expended internally, it can have ripple effects to the rest of the world. If America gets bogged down to the point where it becomes isolationist, watch out for those who would take advantage of their absence. The world is saber-rattling. IMO, we live in a more delicate environment than any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis. |

I respect your opinion. For the record, I didn't vote for Trump last election. I still haven't figured out what to do this time around...

I only pointed out that you perfectly copied Trump's "arguments".
If you think both options are bad, maybe its clever to pick none of the two instead of legitimising something you know will do damage...? ![]() Just some sound reason. Do you think I would criticise Merkel so bitterly and often if I ever would have voted for her...? If I had voted for her and did my part to legitimise her, I would share the guilt. I would have no moral right to complain. Like an offender cannot criticise the crime he helped to accomplish as an accomplice.

Your logic is commendable!
![]() ![]() Edit: Regarding voting for someone and regretting it later. You are essentially right--however even the most informed voter can be duped by a candidate. If the candidate does not live up to campaign promises it isn't always the fault of the person who voted for said person. The problem I have for myself this election is if I vote 3rd party I know it will be a meaningless vote and by throwing my vote out willingly could also make me feel that in the end, I just copped out by taking the "don't blame me I didn't vote for either of them" path. This is the first time in many years of voting where I am truly alarmed by either outcome. Last edited by Grumpy Pete; 09-03-20 at 06:27 PM. |

^ It certainly would be typical for his niveau.
============== On something different: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...-idUSKBN25T3CK Seven years after former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden blew the whistle on the mass surveillance of Americans’ telephone records, an appeals court has found the program was unlawful - and that the U.S. intelligence leaders who publicly defended it were not telling the truth.

Would a decent man ever say all the blatant lies and indecent offendings that Trump is documented in writing, tweeting and TV video to have said on so many opportunities, dozens and dozens and dozens more of opportunities, if not hundreds and hundreds (some newspapers run counting lists) ?
I don't think so. But Trump is no decent man.
