Have followed this case since it toke it start in the middle of the 80's

When I started this thread A clip from some news came up in my head...but did this have any thing to do with this I was wondering.

This doubt vanished after 10 second into the movie...Because the movie starts where you see a Volvo a tent and a text (Which I can't remember, I do remember it was somewhere in the northern part of Norrbotten)

It was through the Swedish news program like Rapport och Aktuellt and reading news paper..Aftonbladet, Kvällsposten och Expressen.
And watching some of the documentaries, like Dokument inifrån, a weekly or was it a monthly magazine with jan guillou

I was, like a huge majority of the Swedish citizens shocked from all we heard and read about this case.

I was not the only one who felt a ease when he got his verdict..because I and perhaps millions other Swedish citizens was convince he was guilty as charged.

It was first some years later it toke this dramatic turn.

Fair! The media reporting that took place was great for a long time just as you describe. But there are people who have destroyed the investigation and one of them is an S marked dubious figure https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6ran_Lambertz then there are of course other people who have acted 'out of control'. Some police officers were gagged in a later position..that Lambertz came into the picture at all is due to his political contacts, and this is nothing remarkable in the country PK Sweden.
