Relating to this topic I put 2 torpedoes in a merchant, she sank with her hull well below the water but wasn't dead.
There was no way in real life she would have carried on, but as you know if it isn't dead you get no credit even though it would never sail again and the crew would in real life abandon ship. I had to put another torpedo in her then she blew up lol. There's an an idea for a mod lol, points for heave damage and/or put out of action.
