Hey speedfreek,
Every vessel have their own recognition manual image that is placed on top of the recognition manual page image. It looks like in this case the image of the vessel is brighter than the recognition manual page image underneath. |

Thanks guys, that put me on the right track to find the problem.
It seems that, although all the GUI I have tried claim to be standalone installs, only OLC1.2.1 (the one that doesn't have the recognition manual problem) includes all the sea folders with the darkened ship info tga files in them. All the other GUI install files do not include these images, and seemingly just use the ship info images that already reside in the SH3 data/Sea folder. Which seems a little odd, to me. I would have thought that would have been an issue when the GUI were released. But then again, I'm playing stock, and it seems most people install these GUI over a mega-mod like GWX or NYGM etc, so perhaps those mods already include the darker recognition manual ship images? Anyway, it seems my choices are either to darken all the ship tga's to match the manual, or see if the ship images in OLC1.2.1 are able to be used, but the reason I didn't stick to OLC1.2.1 was that it was too dark anyway! So I think I might just lighten the 2 manual background images instead! ![]() Thanks for helping me find the problem. Last edited by speedfreek; 07-09-20 at 10:55 AM. |
