Impact, Part two
By: the beast

31 seconds later and I see the most magnificent sight of my life. The TII torpedo detonates right near the bridge, hitting the fuel tanks. It ignites a large amount of fuel that makes it go up in a large explosion. The fireball must have soared well above 600 meters. It was a bright red with a mix of yellow and some purple. Debris was shooting off from multiple directions with flares of smoke following the debris. And then, in an instant, I could understand why my dad never was the same after his service in the Kaiserliche Marine. As my thoughts of joy erupted, I turned to a more somber thought. That explosion possibly killed many people on the ship. I felt guilty for what I had done. Maybe the men I just killed had families, a wife, children? The children and wives will never see their husbands and fathers again.
