The 4GB patch allows to use more RAM memory (4GB instead of 2) for your application.
Otherwise it CTD. https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...=2888&act=down

Also install the game in a custom folder, something like c:\Games\SilentHunterIII
Windows protects the Program Files folder so any modifications done to the game like the GWX installer or JSGME may be prevented from sticking. A solutions is to run the game as administrator, but then the savegames belong to the administrator account chosen, not to your own user account. It doesn't necessarily apply to your crashing instances but better be safe then sorry. This applies to most other games as well that need to change files in the install folder.

Thx again, my issues have been completely solved.
![]() One last thing, or rather question: I downloaded some of the Music from das Boot, and tried to put it into the Game files as Background music, edited the command file to play the tracks and changed the number of tracks accordingly. unfortunatly, the tracks played for ~10 Seconds ingame, before repeating or dissapearing (with 1-2 minutes silence) is there something i must tweak to get this working? and do the Files have to be this weird .ogg format or is Mp3 working aswell? thx in advance ![]() |
