The speed is in the .sim files. ../data/submarine/NSS_Uboat*.*
Use SH3 MiniTweaker to change them In order to do this for travelling only, I would also change the "gears". I would keep speeds 1,2,4 and 5 for playing and 3 only for travelling: There is a code somewhere (anyone can help?) that can adjust the "gears" i.e the percentage of the max speed. So if you set max speed 35 kms (double of an average sub) then your tweaked gear configuration would be something like that: Speeds: 1=15%, 2=25%, 3=100%, 4=40%, 5=50%. This way you'll get what you want (cruising with 3) and be within the limits of a challenging experience. Don't know what will happen with your fuel consumption... I guess you'll have to tweak this too to compensate. It's also in the .sim files. Look for surface range. ![]() |

For quick patrols you can DL the SpySat mod, it shows on the map in realtime all the convoys moving also has many taskforces. And ive found in alot of the convoys theres always either a BB or carrier.!

ok, not sure why but when i click the link for spysat forum it brings up a screen asking m eto sign in. I try but tells me my user name or pw are invalid. But i had to sign on to get to the mods thread ?!?!?

Thanks for all the help from all of you guys and gals. After experimenting with some mods and editing i think running the game pretty stock is good enough for me. The only thing i have left to do is figure out how to make the subs have one speed that runs supper fast. Trying to cross the ocean to take out NYC harbor or go way down to cuba takes FOREVER and time compression is just not helping that type of voyage. I edited the files under data/submarine/nss..../(ms office) files but it did not effect the subs at all. So i am assuming the actual code lines for their speed in under one of the other programs like .dat or .zon or something. Does anybody have a file uprage to have the subs able to run like 50 or 75 so i can chase down the task forces or just cross the ocean at lightning speeds. The other one mod i saw a thread for that does not exist anymore. Was the ability to use yoru deck gun in any weather.
