Jim, lockdown starting Monday night.

I was in my town picking up my medical subscription that morning before Boris did his evening broadcast.

Life here not good, over 700 cases in Hertfordshire which means you can say 1000 easy with the unreported cases. Watford General Hospital has closed its doors, no new cases what so ever! Lister Hospital next nearest some 10 miles or more up the road. Thanks to bloody governments over the years turning most of the Hospitals around here into clinics.

Supermarkets range from half full to two thirds, big shortage of toilet rolls, soap, pain killers. Most people obeying the rules apart from the bleeding heart liberals going around saying..."its my right i can do what i like"

The first part is correct and we laugh about it now because she says had it of come about she reckons she would have probably lost her job.

On a more personal note, my sister-in-law has just rang to inform the wife that her husband (my wifes brother my brother-in-law) has been in bed for three days now with a high temperature.

The advice from 111 is to continue pushing fluids and ring them if he experiences any breathing difficulties.

^ Hope he will be ok ! The advice from 111 is correct afaik.
When you develop any 'symptoms' like feeling sick, having raised temperature and all that but no breathing problems, drink a lot, stay in bed and keep warm! This includes the head (cap/bonnet?) and the throat (scarf). This infection develops in the throat and upper regionv and only moves down into the lungs after replicating up there. Helping the body to reach and keep the best temperature to fight the virus' rna is the best way.
Just do not hesitate to call for help when it comes to breathing problems or the fever gets too high.

Default Calm seas

Just flew back into Phoenix from Little Rock, AR. Boy the airports are empty, it was quiet, peaceful and by the far the best travel experience of my life! This morning I've got an itch in my throat but nothing more water and a couple of doc's horse pills that he keeps in a pez dispenser can't fix.

Coming to you from Tupelo, Mississipi! (Texas is my native state)

We are under a “shelter-in-place” order, which most people are openly ignoring. Along with people bringing small children and babies to the store I work at, most people don't even wear masks or gloves. Apparently, quarantine for these people just means have smaller house parties. The shelves at the store I work at are bare in some spots and full in others. Lowes is incredibly busy along with bargain outlets.

UPDATE:

Here now in where I live in Indiana ( Close to Chicago), we are having some really nice days. Its 62 right now, and its getting hotter. We had wings last night at my grandparents house but under the "Quarantine rules". I ate like 12 hot wings and my face was on firrrrreee.
It is perfect weather for working outside on the deck. Clear skies and no breeze, it's like summer all over again!

God-bless the fighting men and women on Subsim who keep this website alive and running well.
Thank you all.
Godspeed.

I live in Portland, Oregon. It's not too bad here, everyone's staying inside, and my job has been closed for 3 weeks, but the weather's finally turning nice for a change, and the stores are starting to recover from the panic shopping.
