If memory serves he used mine and JHapprich's work in making his mod. It caused quite a stir that resulted in him deleting it and apparently the other thread this all happened in.

Now, why did I not remember that?... and all he had to do was to ask nicely and give proper credit...
jhapprich's original "Projekt 941 / TYPHOON SSBN" download A person could do a "Search" in the Downloads section on his username, or ETR3(SS)'s since there are several SSBN mods from each of them, all good stuff. Just pay attention to proper mod activation and read the documentation for each. ![]()

![]() Now, as to the crashing when viewing the external, one thing you could try is Large Address Aware, aka: 4 gig patch. CapnScurvy has a thread "Windows10; Large Address Aware; SH4 Install", where he discusses in detail its use in the context of installing Windows 10 and Silent Hunter 4. If you have any version of windows from Vista onward, LAA will help by allowing the OS to "see" that SH4 is written for and able to address more RAM on your computer. Just because you might have 32 gig of RAM, does not mean that SH4 will use it. Without one of those type of apps enable on the SH4.exe file, it will address no more than 2 gig (actually, a little less than). Let us know how you get along. ![]()

Did you delete the Save folder after activating the mod? That would usually be "C:\Users \UserName \Documents \SH4" ("UserName" = what you log-in to Windows with and "Documents" might be "My Documents") unless you've moved it either with Windows or with MultiSH4. If you didn't delete the contents, a lot of the game is trying to run off of whatever data is still in the Save folder, and it might not match what the mod has. You will of course, lose all your old Saves. You could use MultiSH4 and a separate copy of SH4 for each mod you want to experiment with.
