Default That was...................strange.

Clear night, stalking a GWX convoy. On the port side, heading 160. Heavily escorted, I try but can't get close enough. Six hours until sunrise, figure I'll shadow it until then and then do a submerged attack.

Convoy then starts a course change. I back off a bit to watch as it reassembles, see what it's new course is. They settle on 60 degrees.

In reassembling the starboard side is clear of an escort ! I reposition there, and at 2k meters I am just getting ready to fire.................when poof, out of nowhere an escort spawns between me and the target ?!?

Like I said; strange.

I may be remembering it wrong, but I think they were surprised by a destroyer right after firing a spread of eels at a convoy in the movie.

That is strange though. I've never seen anything spawn in SH3 while I was watching. Although I have seen something de-spawn.

Ah. Scene you're thinking of had the destroyer come out of some fog/mist.

Yes, it was very strange. One of those "Did I just see that ?" moments. I've never seen it before either.
Chalk it up to "one of those SH3 things" and a belated thanks for your work.
