Interesting. If you look back on his update #8, he was calculating the death rate by simply deaths/total cases to date. I posted a comment that it should not be calculated that way and on his next update, he addressed that and changed his formula.

I actually talked to an executive from a local news agency that is my 2nd cousin and he told me they have to get approval from the public relations officer from my department plus the CDC or government rep for Approval. Regardless if it’s the Truth they will not break protocol plus here’s the kicker the information needs to be vetted before they announce it however this falls under hippa because of the patients rights. This is the same as when an officer is exposed to an individual who you believe has AIDS. They DO NOT have to tell you or submit to a blood test.

I just found out that most states are refusing to give information on confirmed cases due to the HIPPA laws. That is why our infected case numbers on Johns Hopkins data site hasn't changed in a week.

the jig is up! There is now a confirmed case of corona virus in quarantine in the Queen of the Valley Hospital in my town of Napa! Ca. She was transferred after arriving at Travis Air base in nearby Fairfield after being on a Japanese cruise ship....I'll have to dredge up an old Napa fire/smoke mask I suppose....

I was just there last week and work at the sister hospitals in Sonoma. I've heard nothing about this yet. Off to New Orleans Thursday regardless.

A Japanese official spent only 10 minutes on board the Diamond Princess, and kept a distance of at least 2 meters (6.5 feet) from all passengers. He was wearing full protective gear (suit, N95 mask, gloves, goggles) and fully decontaminated after leaving the ship. He is now infected.

This virus is extremely infectious I'd say.

Apparently the guy on the phone is a complete idiot and could have saved himself the embarrassment if he just read the HIPPA law instead of asking a secretary. Because nothing has changed there must be a cover-up?

More to the story. The question is WHY were 79 more infected? Id bet this is probably the reason we got our people off of that plague ship and brought them home.

A Japanese infectious disease specialist has castigated his government's handling of quarantine on a coronavirus-stricken cruise ship, saying it was run by "bureaucrats" who stoked the crisis by failing to follow basic protocols.

"The cruise ship was completely inadequate in terms of the infection control," he said in his video. "There was no single professional infection control person inside the ship and there was nobody in charge of infection prevention as a professional. The bureaucrats were in charge of everything."


Iwata told Reuters that he could face professional repercussions for his public rebuke of the government. He said he posted the videos at the urging of his wife, who is also an infectious disease specialist and said it was his professional duty to get the word out.
"You don't want to hide the chaotic problem and risk to lots of people," Iwata said. "You have to really do something about it."

You don't have to quote HIPPA rules to me. Me and many others are already fully aware of the rules, but others who are abusing their powers seem to be using it as an excuse to withhold information which the public has a right to know.

Personally, I've had it with you trying to debunk or dismiss almost everything I post. I'm not sure what your purpose here is, but you seem to have nothing better to do. I'm just trying to get the truth out, but all you ever do is downplay or deny the seriousness of the situation.

Good luck denying this pandemic once the virus reaches your neighborhood. It's already only 3.5 hours by car from mine, if not here already.

It will come out into the open they have to start contacting anyone that person with the virus had contact with in order to trace it and they will have to be put into self quarantine or worse.

If you are fully aware that medical professionals are legally required and allowed to report infections. why in blue blazes would you post what someones sister's, brother's, cousin's, uncle said about States not reporting cases because that information is protected by HIPPA?
