Hi Mike
I think you may need to uninstall and re-install STEAM as you have already modded the game but the game is not yet installed fully as you are missing the game launcher updates.

When STEAM installs the game check the SH5.exe as it may already be patched to v1.2

Uninstalling the game launcher was good.
Do not forget to do this.
How To Run The SH5.exe As Administrator > Pictorial
Install the new game launcher in the default directory.
SH5 Game Launcher Install It Anywhere On Any Drive > Includes Download Link
Try running the game from the SH5.exe

I did run SH5.exe as Administrator. Then, I reinstalled the Ubisoft game launcher. Then, I installed UPLAY and entered the activation code. Then I crossed my fingers and muttered a quick prayer and tried to start it.

And it worked! How about that. I just learned that I can "type "silentotto" while you're in the campaign selection screen to unlock all campaigns and start any you want.."

I THINK I am good, but not 100 percent sure.......

Any tips anyone wants to give me as far as just starting with SH5/WOS would be appreciated.

Hi t
Glad to hear you are up and running.
There some good YouTube videos with TWoS you can search for.
I have some good tutorial ones that can be found in my Tutorial signature below.

Good, thank you, appreciate it.

I should have said "I installed the Ubisoft game launcher" not "I reinstalled the Ubisoft game launcher" in a previous post.

It's running, but all messed up. Locks up continuously, I can't configure campaigns as part of the screen is blacked out. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall everything? I don't know. Maybe something is corrupted. I will check your SH5 tutorials

Hi Mike
Did you restore the gps snapshot file to the Patcher?
Did you do a bunker save before starting your mission?
Please post your mod list

Hello THEBERBSTER

In answer to your questions:

Q-Did you restore the gps snapshot file to the Patcher?
A-No.

Q-Did you do a bunker save before starting your mission?
A- No, but i didn't get very far in playing a mission, as it wasn't working right. I didn't even start a campaign.

Q- Please post your mod list.
A-I didn't add any mods, as I wanted to see if it ran properly first. There is nothing in my TWoS_JSGME. I don't have a standard JSGME in my SH5 directory at all. So I have no mod list to show you. I doubt if you want to see an empty mod list.

FYI, I am going to be offline for about 3 days or so, maybe longer. I am planning on getting back to this when I come back online. Thanks for the help so far!

Absolutely essential that you restore the Snapshot gps file from TDW's Generic File Patcher.
Bunker save before starting the first mission must be done.
