Thanks! I'm excited to dig deeper into the game once I get this sorted out. Is deleting all of my saves and starting again enough? Last time I didn't delete the first batch of corrupted saves before starting again. Or is there a mod incompatibility or something else I should look into? I appreciate the help guys.

Also... is it recommended to not only run the SH4 exe every time, but to also run it as an administrator every time as well? Not just for troubleshooting?

FWIW a while back, when I had similar crashing problems, clearing all old saved games solved the situation and it's been stable ever since...

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure there are no extra steps I need to take. A shame all the careers are gone but as long as I can restart without another crash that's good enough for me right now. Have a nice Labor Day everyone.

You might also read through Webster's documentation for his GFO mod, because some of what you have in the mod list is already in the GFO mod, and you can drop them. If you are using THEBERBSTER's package, then he has them numbered in order of application. You do have to be careful of the order of additional mods you might put in, and try to find if they are compatible with the rest. Put the Bigger Better Protractors in last.

Actually one last quick question if you don't mind. Do you run the .exe as an administrator every time? Or is making sure you click the actual sh4.exe instead of going through Uplay enough?

Generally speaking, with SH4, you don't have to use Administrator, but you can set the short-cut or the exe to do that anyway, and it does no harm, and if you ever tighten the screws down on system security, it won't interfere with starting it. Do not use Uplay at all though, since with SH4, it is "dead" to Ubisoft...

Oh ok got it! I'll check the documentation. I have only been using the entire THEBERBSTER's package bundle (no additional mods), so it didn't even hit me at first that there would be redundant mods in it.

Since you have THEBERBSTER package (good stuff, btw), then just put them in numerical order. Notice how you've got two deckgun mods numbered "8"? That signifies that you use one or the other. The 2nd mod is overwriting the first in your case. I did not realize that THEBERBSTER had added more to his mod package... [note to self: check it out again]

Looks like each GFO patch is a separate part and not an all inclusive mod. I do have the mods loaded out of order so I will fix that now that I have deleted all of my saves. I should have noticed that part earlier haha. Besides me having both deck gun damage upgrade mods on... I wonder if that extra ammo and 25% + 50% damage increase was stacking, messing the game up, or both haha
