When your brain is crispy from too much "Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations", you need a break for some hectic arcade naval gunfire...
![]() USS Fletcher, "Battlestations: Midway". ![]() USS South Dakota, "Battlestations: Pacific". Both games are working fine (Steam versions), with max eye candy, on Windows 10 64-bit. If you install, "Battlestations: Midway" be sure to restart your computer after it installs, before you launch it. Otherwise, it won't work. If you install, "Battlestations: Pacific" be sure to go to the "redist" folder inside the main game folder and delete the GFWL installer. Then download the latest version of GFWL from Microsoft and get it set up. Once it's running and you're logged in, you can launch the game and it should work fine. You might want to get the HUD removal files from the developer's site for taking screenshots. But back up the two files that you'll be replacing so that you can put your HUD back if you want it. Now go blow things up! ![]() |

Stuck in Lorville's metro. Gah!
![]() Once I found my way out of Lorville, I decided to go check out one of the nearby moons; Ariel. ![]() Next, I thought I'd go buy some new stuff to wear from Levski. Ayyyy! ![]() Before retiring from my adventure, I figured I'd go check out the "Skyrim" crater. So named because it can fit the playable area of Skyrim inside it, twice. ![]() (Star Citizen 3.4, downscaled from 3840x2160, unedited) |

A few screens for a little on-going experiment we're conducting my friends and I, about a new project centered on carrier warfare. Sorry for the resolution, it's a bit small, but hopefully until we make it look good enough, it will make it look kinda cute

I'm terrible at this game's actual objective of landing on other planets but I think I'm ok at making cannons at least
![]() ![]() It does indeed work, and with better stability modules the projectiles manage to fly in a relatively straight line until they run out fuel. If using a mod that adds in cranes, you could effectively fire it forever if you carefully lower projectiles into the loading tray. |

It's insane what some simple gibs and blood graphics can do to a timeless classic.

Nice shots. But ahem! If I may...

Well, if that ship's name is Fletcher, then my name is Spruance! ![]() Quote:
But, hell, it's a game. Well, like they say about Ledo Road, it might look swell, but sometimes it can be Hell... ![]() (PS: SoDak look(ed) like a bit more like that ![]() ![]() Last edited by Amiral Crapaud; 08-28-19 at 08:33 AM. |

Finished a few units for From The Depths, available for download on the Steam Workshop. First of all, since we're on SUBSIM, a nice little SSBN. It wasn't designed for cost-effectiveness but for, say... immersion:
* The command room is full of electronics and equipment, has a large periscope imitation rising from the deckfloor when the periscope is raised. * The main missile room is absolutely referencing Red October, with the ambience lighting, the missiles being very visible despite design not requiring it, on the contrary, and the possibility to go up and down several floors in the room so that in the very unlikely case you play a MP game and you get boarded, you can shoot it out between the SLBM. * The controls are made as simple as possible, which is a challenge in From The Depths where subs are notoriously complex to use considering the need to manage ballast, dive planes, etc. * The command chair has panels allowing you to set up predefined speed and depths settings, as well as manually fire torpedo decoys when the huge warning light starts rotating to tell you you're in trouble. * You can select independently three different periscopes, a big sensors one for recon, an observation one which is player-controlled and an attack one which will automatically focus and track an enemy. The last two periscopes have a camera display on the main screen to see the action taking place outside. * Wide selection of weaponry: ** Sub-launched anti-ship missiles, ** Heavyweight torpedoes, ** Vertical-launched ASROC, ** Medium-range anti-air missiles, ** 16 extreme range SLBM, ** Automated short-range SAM tubes. You can find it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil...?id=1849415891 On the aerial side of the game, I offer you a pretty close replica of the real world Rafale fight jet, in two variants, the current F3 update, and a hypothetical F5 future variant. The plane is designed for doing all jobs, and comes with heavy anti-ship missiles, large guided bombs, anti-air missiles and ASW torpedoes. Quite agile, it reproduces faithfully the specifics of the actual plane, with dynamic supermaneuverability allowed by its canard foreplanes, a strong passive detection capability and long fuel endurance. Stability is ensured via a PID control ingame. The main difference between the F3 and the F5 variants is the inclusion of laser weaponry in the F5, both in anti-missile/projectile role and in offensive role with the replacement of the external fuel tanks with a combat laser generation and targeting system. The plane's two variants are available here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil...?id=1749050996 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil...?id=1749086570 Hope you enjoy these! |
