This looks to be a more involved version of a war scenario featured in a book written by the late Tom Clancy: Red Storm Rising. In the book, it was a clash between American and Russian forces. This version has tossed the Chinese and North and South Korean forces and other countries into the mix.

Thanks for posting this, Blair.

Mine as well, Jim. I think we have all enjoyed the techno thrillers written by Tom Clancy, Former A-6 Aviator turned author, Stephen Coonts and others. Red Storm rising was so well written and authentic, I have reread it at least 5 times over and always discover something I missed the previous read. I neglected to mention the vast participation of English and German forces as well in the book.

Not sure if it was a Clancy book or not but I read another similar to Red Storm Rising in my early twenties where Russia were ar war with China and the book concluded with the Russians in retreat and one of the main characters, a Russian tank commander met his end when his tank was crippled and a Chinese soldier threw a grenade inside the tanks turret
