THEBERBSTER has tutorials to make it work, but I never mess with it. If you are a really into messing with files just to show a date, then go ahead.

TWoS will give you red radio messages if your campaign chapter reaches the end of its period, so you will know exactly what you need to do, follow EXACTLY these instructions, or you won't advance! I just tell this because they are really *IMPORTANT* orders (not from BDU but from Veko the TWoS Maker, hehehe...)
Except this, you get more renown to spend for your sub upgrades and more moral points for your crew (1 per succeeded patrol order) , but AFAIK only once you have returned to the bunker. Sinking ships will give you immediate morale points to spend for the crew. I have just sunken 2 medium ships, 1 tanker of 7000 tons and a 2000 tons freighter, after that 2 morale points were available for me to spend, and these sinkings will also count later when you return in the bunker. Sinking ships gives you *much more* in any cases, succeeding the patrol orders and objectives give you only minimal extra points. That's what I have seen up to now while playing. |

If they are not reported in your Captain's Log with a tonnage, then - technically - you didn't sink them
![]() Maybe they have sunken because of rough weather? In that case you don't get any credits, sorry. Another reason for not receiving credits: You did sink them in the past and got credtis, then you reload game, and meet again the same ships (can happen, depending how you play), in that case > 0 credits the 2nd time ![]() |
