I used D2D also. When I needed a new key, I contacted their tech support and received a new key in 24 hours.

My gripe about D2D was that I can't even ASK them for a new key. Going to the support link asks you for your email addr and password. Ok, I entered them and it said incorrect password. I only use three different passwords so I tried all three before asking them to send me a password reminder. Their email to me simply said "Our records indicate that there is no password associated with that email addr., you may open an account at the following link". SH3 wasn't the first game I've bought through them and I was logged on normally, so how can I suddenly have no records? I'm assuming that if I open a new account, the saved links for re-downloads of past purchases will no longer be available to me as the won't be "mine", so-to-speak. I'd been trying for a straight 18hrs to re-install SH3, so I wasn't at all happy last night! LOL

Please keep in mind that people using the Lazyblue theme can not read white text. That theme has a light background so you text can only be read if the take the trouble to use the mouse to drlrct the complete text.

Thanks for that number, Engel. I couldn't be without SH3, so I went out and bought the DVD that same night. However, I'll call D2D anyway for the new key (hopefully). Just in case!

Just back up your SH3 registry entries on cd after installing and registering the game. Then if you format your computer or whatever, you don't have to worry about limited activations. You only have to install the registries again (2 I think). To save the registries, type regedit in the run slot under the start menu. Look under Hkey_current user, then software, then Ubisoft, then SH3. Right click on the registries, then export to desktop. Burn the registries to cd. Now you have your legal backup registration that never expires.

That's a great idea nvdrifter, don't know why it never ocurred to me. I edited the registry, but only to remove the ubisoft entries in case they had been corrupted or were simply incorrect. I never thought to save export them out. Before switching machines shortly, I'll do just that. Thanks for the suggestion!!
