I did more tests and can confirm everything wrote @probeanie I fired all the torpedoes, and repeated firing not all torpedoes, the result does not change: -if the "End Patrol" are loaded with Mark 14s - If I ask for "refueling" they are loaded with Mark 10s but "That does not refill the empty firing tubes. If I then End Patrol, it will put Mark 14s in the four empty slots" ask refuel loaded Mark10s (but the four "fired" slot stay empty): Then ask "End patrol",when start for 2° patrol the 4 slot are loaded with Mark14s

This happened to me with the Porpoise, but only surfaced. Dive and you will get sound back.

yes....i have seen this behaviour before. drag torpedos from the "bunker" or storage area to your torpedo tubes one at a time...then do another refit/refuel. this process should put four more Mk10's in your storage area. i believe this is a SH4-Stock issue and NOT a FOTRSU issue. and this process only solves the one issue though...it does not solve the MK14's on the s-boat problem, which i have also experienced previously. i do not have a fix for that, other than editing the Savefile which most players do not want to do...and i understand. good luck

Only passive sonar works surfaced. Later in 42 (or is it 43?) Porpoise will be equipped with surfaced hydrophone. So it’s normal (S class has to dive also)

Aggression .... I spotted a Mutsuki at 13,500 yards. I lobed 4 shells at it. It turned towards me and came forward at 24 knots. All that distance and it never gave up. Periscope depth at around 9000 yards when it started to fire at me while I was surfaced. Mutsuki struck from the register at 900 yards.
Thank you all for giving us such a nice mod. Nice.

Installed and did the some training missions. Here is some initial feedback.
Comments: - UI looks great. Intro looks great. Help menu is great. All in all, very professional. Environment etc look great. - Strangely enough, it performs better on my laptop than TMO 2.5. - A gripe I have with every Silent Hunter mod ever is that the water/sea sound is not loud enough (either when inside the sub or on bridge). Might be because I generally like hearing the sound of sea, but I 'd like it to be louder. - The compass (middle gauge) overlaps significantly with the torpedo panel (on the attack periscope screen and on all screens that have a torpedo panel). I can still see and press all the torpedo buttons (barely), but it doesn't look good. Questions: - Is it possible to turn music off during gameplay but keep it on while on the menu? - On the F1 radar page, it recommends sometimes turning the radar off for time compression reasons. Aren't there other reasons to turn radar off? In particular, can't the enemy spot our radar signal? - I am playing this on a (relatively modern) laptop. The laptop does heat slightly (while with the stock game it doesn't heat at all), but hasn't overheated yet. I will be keeping an eye on it. For laptop temperature purposes, do you have a recommendation as to whether I should be using my integrated graphics card or my high performance card? Both cards seem to be working fine with the mod, I just don't know which one is going to keep lower temperatures. - I see that you went with black dots on the nav map. Is there a way to bring back full information on the nav map? Not sure I am willing to play without it. I don't know if it is possible, but it would be great if you offered the additional option of full information on the map (as in the stock game) on gameplay settings.

sonar pings
I haven't heard a single active sonar ping yet. I am early in the war (first patrol) but I have been depth charged already. Is this intended?
Also, no mods but FOTRSU on a fresh install of Sh4 1.5. |

Still visuals problems for my watch crew.
They couldn't see any of those ships... I saw this buddy completely out of water, dancing and rolling all over the place, with propellers stopped but still running well... Later on, i saw an other with same issue (a DD i didn't take picture)

Made a new try with that convoy near Bungo straits. Dive to 250 ft, battlestations, silent runing.
The escort passes over me as intended, no ASDIC ping, he drops depth charges over me, but fails. No damage. So I went to periscope depth and the most juicy part of the convoy is at my stern, but one transport is just ahead, spot my periscope and begin to fire. A large Tanker is just behind me, so I launch both stern tubes. Forgot to set well the bearing for the first and the torpedo goes in a totally wrong direction, but made ok for the second and scores a solid hit. Not enough to sink the tanker, bad luck. DD's are coming, so crash dive and made a run under the rest of the merchants. Then switched to silent running, 1/3 and dive to 280ft. The escorts behaves well: they look for me, but no more "lucky shots" like the first time, they seem to have clues but don't get me. Broke contact for good after some time of zig-zagging. Maybe the behaviour of the first destroyer was a exception, or I made some error. They seem to work well later on that same convoy. |

Found something that looks like a bug:
Found a DD near Hokkaido. Follow him for a while, but he was too fast and my position poor for an intercept. I get as close as 5.000 y, sonar follow him right, I can hear the propeller perfectly, but the notepad doesn't show any vessel ID, and I can't put one manually: |
