[TEC] Hydrophone Weirdness

Hi all,

Steam V1.5. No mods. In the convoy training mission.

First off, what I hear. what the soundman reports, and what the map shows are all different.

The guy says there is a warship at 33°.

I go to the room and spin the wheel and find a warship at maybe 40°.

Now, I get a range, say, 14030 yards.

I go to the map and use a protractor and compass to plot what I hear and what the soundman gives for range to target.

Now, I clearly see where I think the guy is. But then, in the map, there are these little blue and black lines showing contacts. Where I think he is is quite far off of the blue line.

Another issue is that sometimes I can't hear the contacts at all. Dead stop, no warship. I advance to ahead 1/3 or 2/3 and then I can hear the warship clearly.

From what I know, the mission is a convoy about 10nm away. Shouldn't I be hearing them at a dead stop?
