Congrats to the Chinese. That's quite the accomplishment. They also had to put a communications satellite in lunar orbit in order to relay data.

The farside is in the radio shadow of the earth and is the best place to put a radio telescope array. It even makes a great place for optical telescopes as the lack of atmosphere makes for a clearer and more stable environment than earth orbit. It's about time we get back to lunar development.

Looks pretty bright for the Dark Side of the moon

They must have had some powerful lights on that lander
