Mods Suggestion?

Hi!
I have a stock SH4 (Without U-boat Missions add-on). Any gameplay mods suggestions, except TM mod? Is Operation Monsum only for U-boat missions?

There is almost nothing left - without V1.5 (inkl.UBM) you will not get far and must gamble the extremely flawed game of UBI.

if you can swing it, buy the Gold Edition. on CDROM/DVD. it is the best, safest way to enjoy this game because it is the highest version published by Ubisoft. (V1.5).

not sure what they cost these days but that copy eliminates the Steam issues and the V1.4 issues plus you get Uboats in the Pacific and the ability to play the Brit mega We Dive at Dawn and the German Atlantic mega OpMonsun.
if funding is an issue, start a FB page and ask for donations.

Steam issues arise directly from how Steam is installed on your system. I have mine installed under D:\Games\Steam for example. Just don't install it under Program Files or Program Files(x86), ever.

Optical Targeting Correction (OTC) has a version just for you...….Optical Targeting Correction for SH 1.4

Use the OTC 1.4 Patch_1 along with the above to get the most out of the mod.

Real Fleet Boat 1.4 is also a mod for the 1.4 version of SH4. AND, wouldn't you know, I've got a compatible version of OTC for it too......Optical Targeting Correction for RFB 1.4



I've not forgotten about those that prefer to only play the American side of things, AND not want to "pay" for the last inadequate patch to the game.

If you can read German, Fall of the Rising Sun v2.0 runs on v1.4 also. It will usually not make it all the way through a career though without trouble. You might also want to give an older version of TMO a whirl: REL_Trigger_Maru_1.7.2.7z. Not the latest / greatest, but hey, it runs.

Now, as for CapnScurvy's sugestions, I second his suggestions. Good, accurate stuff. He is good at what he does.

Well, I won't by it through Steam, never! I hate Steam, since a hacking attempts on my account. I don't trust steam since then. I might look after u boats somewhere else, like game shops.
I'm not that poor to do a facebook donations xd (Even tho I'm on university)

When looking elsewhere, start by clicking on "quick links" (above, right) and use the link for Amazon.

Sorry about your Steam experience. I've used it for almost 15 years now and really can't complain. I've even repurchased hard copies for Steam.

check out my mods in my cig, many have versions for sh4 or sh5
