I love the big boats!
I don't know if it's exactly as you describe; in some way, it's also the fact that SHIII simply suits the IXs better. I never sneak into ports, too, but I still get a lot of enjoyment out of sailing these things. And yea, I'm getting the feeling I'll love SHIV, too, for that same reason.
