Destroyer Command on XP

Hi guys
Has anybody experienced problems on loading DC on XP? I mean DC runs on XP?

DC runs fine on XP, but make sure it is patched with 1.1.

I'm running 1.1 DC in XP (win 98 compat mode) -- middle of Atl. Campaign / "Murmansk Run" mission -- I keep getting a CTD and a janus error code:

Mon Mar 4 17:50:28 2002
Error -1 [nID < 0 || nID > CONTACT_ID_MAX]
DirectX code: "Unrecognized error: 0xffffffff"

Can anyone help me out here? Much appreciated!

I was looking for DC in torrents as well but noone seeds it.

Why take the risk of downloading an Illegal copy that could be full of Virus and spyware, when you can buy it from this site for a little amount of money.

Im sorry to necromance this thread but I have Problems on VMware and XP guest on my Windows 10 System.

Just been trying , vmware with win 95 /98 & xp no go always a problem.
Running DC on win7 vm .
Installed ok , runs a little bit flakey & no sudden changes , eg changing to full screen / usb over wireless mouse / sound , l`m running it with no sound at the moment.
Thats clean install , patched 1.1 / 1.03 & Kriegsmarine DC2.0 .

Hmm.. only way for me to run it without problem...

My Eee netbook PC... well but only 600x400 resolution and I have no 8-Pin monitor cable for bigger res.

Enigma rising tide is not a bad old game , installs & plays on most windows versions.
I know its not DC ,but.

i have Destroyer Command running on my windows 10 64bit laptop with no issues, i mean i dont even need to run any kind of virtual system for it or even dxwnd
i just have it set to xp sp2 in compatibility settings thats all
