Oh thanks for telling us (ME) why I like what I like. And making categorical assertions, please leave our thread kthxbye.

Ok, much has been mentioned already....let me add some of my faves.

Oktoberfest brews are great, but they MUSt be drunk in Munich during well Oktoberfest. Belgian beers are probably my fave in Europe...cherry lambic. German, Czech and ... French (ok Alsatian

) lagers. Britian has so many nice brews, I was surprised by Young's dobule chocolate stout ncie beer. North America, you gotta stick with the microbrews ... from my hometown and province (Vancouver BC) Granville Island is nice , as is Okanagan Springs. From the East I am partial to Sleemans a commerical product but really not bad.

Here in Geneva there is a nice (large and always crowded) pub called "Les Brasseurs" (the Brewers) a brewpub...always make nice stuff including seasonal specials. Nice snacks and stuff including an Alsatian specialty called flammenkuche a kind of pizza type thing.

Wine is good too...but that's for another thread. BTW I am almost never drunk....I hate getting piss drunk ... did that a few times as a teenager. Sort of like eating til you want to burst.
