Game is Covered in Fog After Save Load

when loading game back on base it works

When you started your game and went to the officer to select your mission the game worked ok and you were able to select the mission, yes?
Did you then use the esc key and select Save Game?
After making this new manual game save did you go back to the main menu.
Did you select Load Game and use your new game save and your game then loads to the bridge.

The game save you make is important because the automated bunker saves can be corrupted.
You will have 2 of them.
1 When you ended the patrol (Autosave Enter Base).
2 When you load the new patrol.
If this is done directly from finishing the patrol and then starting a new mission from the officer then you have 2 game saves on top of each other.
Either or both could be corrupted.


If you have just finished a patrol you have the option to delete the last 2 game saves.
The current one with the foggy picture.
The one you ended your patrol with.
This will put you at sea and you can pick the game up again before you ended the patrol.

Check your gpu is setup correctly.

Possible reason is savegame corruption. Here's how to avoid it:



- Save in a different slot each time, do not overwrite saves.
- Do not use Autosaves, just delete them
- Do not save when enemy ships or planes are nearby
- Do not save outside of bunker, leave port first (or enter bunker)
- Keep all saves when you are in the bunker, you may need them later to restart from here if something goes wrong

Be aware that the stock game 1.2.0 has shortcommings. If you persist to play it, then apply the TDW GENERIC PATCHER and at least also install these mods:
