cool Me & Skybird are going to Hong Kong to get rich on horse betting

Me and Sky are going to write a program to analyse horse racing in Hong Kong and pick winners, allowing us to get rich. Simple plan, and we might even podcast it for a small fee. Who would like to watch the weekly episodes? Sign up here.

Meanwhile, here's a smashing article about a guy who actually did it

That's all I have time for now, I have to start writing the program and Sky is going to stake the first $100 thou. Or, wait, maybe Sky is writing the program and I'm funding it. Time to go turn the sofa cushions.

Nice idea, though i still think it is impossible. Benter had to distribute the money on 50,000 probabilities, you cannot determine the right three horses winning for one game. I guess it it impossible to foresee breaking an ankle, or bribery and fraud in advance, even with the best of algorithms.
A bit like the puppeteer "luck breeding lottery" invented by Jerry Pournelle.

But just.. maybe?
Go ahead.

OT: And he invented algorithms? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhamm...a_al-Khwarizmi

I found the article interesting. Not often is a bookmaker beaten and I've yet to come across a poor one.

I'd have loved him to write an algorithm for greyhound racing when my old man was alive.

Maybe instead of starting to type in code and going to Hongkong I get over to Texas and start shaking you up a little...? Because there can be no doubt that you will fund it and do the code, and I enjoy the benefits from my sofa throne.

And considering the many typos I type in - do you really want me to type any code...???

But you must have forgotten that Sky does not believe in banks or plastic and that he would have to deliver the 100k in person in cash

Not to mention his passport would have to be in order which would entail even more identification papers left to process and with no know pictures of Sky on this forum we can't really really be sure who he is, right?

Ok, but I insist on a 50/50 split

Horse race is one of the sports I prefer to bet on.

My preferred type of betting is on something we call

V75-Here you have to find the winner in 7 trotting race

75 means there are prices for 5, 6 or 7 correct picks.

Mostly there is nothing to those who only had picked 5 out of 7 trotting race.

I have a tv-channel where they show horse race almost around the clock.

Coding: 25% contribution.
Investing: 25% contribution.

Versus:

Not messing up the code: 25% contribution.
Sofa surveillance of that you do it all correctly: 25% contribution.

Perfectly 50/50 im my book.

Bright heads like mine make their own shiny sunlight. No need to waste time on a sun bed. I will throw my towel over your head when I overtake you with my bicycle, and film it with a GoPro.

German humour still as dry as ever.

Watch out China the new Internet sensation Sky is on the way.

That's good news for Neal he can pocket all the money.

Now I'm talking in a egocentric way

If I should "invent" a super program like these two fellow did

I would keep it for myself

He rightly doesn't believe in fiat currency either so it will have to be silver or gold. I recommend gold, 100k in silver is damn heavy.
