In terms of running it in a virtual machine, I can run Dangerous Waters in a Windows XP virtual machine, but I had to either install an add-on package or configure graphical settings so it could run it. I'd look into that for Fleet Command for the VM.
There should be a way to launch Fleet Command such that it's only using one thread, trying searching Google for launching a program to use only a certain number of threads. Hope some of this helps.

Thanks for your response. I managed to get the Win 10 FC to run on one processor. However it made no difference, still crashed.
I decided to put the original NWP database files in and ran one of the original scenarios. It ran for just over 2hours and didn't crash! It looks like the db I was running is the source of the problem. Going to try a few more original scenarios and see if I get the same. One thing however, I did notice these error messages, even with the original NWP db: Air to Air: Unknown keyword: {25,40} Air to Air: Unknown or Unexpected symbol; END Air to Air: Unknown or Unexpected symbol; END Has anyone seen anything like this? |

Hi All,
Just for the record the error messages were caused by a syntax error in the Doctrine File Airtoair.txt. The SET_TIMER4 {25,40} line should read as SET_TIMER 4 {25,40}, ie, a space between TIMER and 4 when setting the timer. I think I downloaded this doctrine file from the SUBSIM site to others could have a similar issue. |

Found it: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...9&postcount=34 open the spoiler button. Replace the executable at the end with the executable of FC. Also, that DXwnd tool you (FPSchazly) made a video about has a check mark (compatibility tab) to run on a single core. |

If anyone still playing FC then Goals don't work with created objects in game. Bit of a pain. |
