I thought that was cool, so I downloaded it and rather than an update it was a one-week free trial for the full pay-for version. I didn't mind it and it does seem to do some cool real-time protection stuff. Same happen here Steve to me a few weeks back. When it got down to the last 24 hours I got pop up's telling me to upgrade. Pain in the rear for that time but once it went back to the free version the pop up's stopped. Like you I will stick with the free version.
