Please check the sim gun's file.
Guns_UK.sim has a wpn (barrel 6pdrSingle_cradle) that don't match with any gun. Its parent ID should be 0x6303aeac2a4dec3b ![]() |

![]() This weapon was basically made for "decoration" purposes (precisely, for a model vonDos uses privately). Since there are no proper 57 mm shells (the current ammo IDs refer to 40 mm shells), I kept it in a non-use state until the ammo is done. Feel free to turn it into a shooting gun, with whatever shells you want it to have. 21 inch shells should do fine ![]() |

... just in case, the 21 inch AP shell is in the shells_SB library (ID 0x3e1d0862c9b496cc)
![]() I work since ages on an additional shell library that includes some of the missing ammo but haven't managed to complete it ... ![]() |

Hello VD,
the tug is really cute. I am thinking of re-doing it one day, using the WoW model as kind of a 3D plan, so that we can use it in SH3 without legal problems. Instead of using the non-operational 6-pounder guns, you could decide for 3-pounders. I think, after comparing size, especially barrel lenght, the original guns of the model may represent 3-pounders. However, there were so many variants of the Hotchkiss 3-/6-pounders ... Or you give the 6-pounder 3 inch or 88 mm shells. Note, in SH3, the 88 mm shells are less powerful than the 3 inch shells ![]() Well, the 2pdr shells are just as powerful as the 20 mm shells, less powerfull than the 37 mm shells, which themselves are half as powerful than the 40 mm shells. Very realistic ... Cheers |

Great work - setting the standard for detail! I noticed that the camoflage scheme is even carried onto the guns which is very nice - it always bothered me how the guns on warships for SH3 all share one texture.

@Stefan Thimme:
Thanks, but the right person(s) to acknowledge would be the naval architect(s) who designed those ships ![]() @makman94: Your request is not forgotten but I decided to update the *.eqp files of the older models and progress was (is) slow ... @iambecomelife: The the models of the large weapons have been incorporated into the *.dat files. Actually, some weapons of the original SH3 models used the textures of the ships (by refering to the "normal" / "complete" textures). With most "normal" textures being changed for multi texture use, this didn't work anymore and caused CTDs. The respective guns were then re-mapped to use the turele.tga. |
