My wife is off today, but where I work there is no closing because of weather. If you can't make it in on your own, they'll come get you. :/

Why do I keep forgetting to buy a snow shovel?! Digging the car out with a regular shovel is back-breaking work. Wish me luck!
Wow, what do you do?

Come on you guys man up, you are sounding like a load of old washer women. I'm going to get Jim to put America on the program to drink more Brown Ale.

Yes sir! Skipped the shoveling, got in the Challenger, inched forward and then gunned it in reverse and plowed through the driveway. Did my job and my bosses job (who called out because all he had was a truck and couldn't make it?! ). Filled up the tank and bought some groceries on the way home.

I'm off tomorrow, and although I won't be drinking Brown Ale, there's a six pack of Paulaner with my name on it in the fridge.

Can I keep my man card for now?

Had to run the snow blower over the driveway a couple of times today. First pass around noontime at the height of the storm took off a good foot of fluffy snow. By the time I finished where I started had built up another 3 inches. I went out again was the storm was tapering off and blew off another 8 inches or so. Snow has finally stopped but the winds are gusting pretty hard.

I know we have an another thread about Global Warming

I'm thinking if all these extremely weather we have is because of this Global warming or it's something that occur now and then.

There is no doubt in my mind that like other planets in our solar system earth has warmed and cooled throughout its life. We have a truck load of data to support that. The argument today is not whether if its warming or cooling but rather if man is the cause of the current 1970's 'global cooling' -> 1980's 'global warming', -> 1990's 'climate change' soon to be -> 2020 'climate disruption' trend.

Personally once politicians became involved I pretty much quit listening to the its all mans fault, CO2, cows farts and were going to burn in ten years scenario. I prefer to look around and I find myself reading about climate science sans politics. I think what we are witnessing is a naturally occurring phenomena on an ever changing planet.

But those who want to think it's mans carbon footprint which is the cause for things heating up or for last weeks record cold temperatures I'm not gonna loose any sleep over it. Someone says they walked outside in a lite jacket during the winter and want to say its because of a warming effect from greenhouse gases, have at it. I can read a barometric map and see a low pressure circulating warm air from Africa as the cause. These days I view man made global warming believers like I do those gullible kooks who still think the earth is flat.
