Looks excellent! I'm a porter fan and becoming a strong supporter of IPA.

This is a strange ale I have tried.

Ale from the Old Vale is an English-inspired ale brewed with hops and herbs grown on our farm. The all-malt ale starts dry and bitter, with sweet herbs supplying the balance. Native herbs blue giant hyssop and bee balm produce a big herby aroma.
Kind of has a grassy/hay taste to me.

Took a bottle or two to develop my liking if I'm to be honest but I'm now looking for similar ales from the same brewery.

Never come across that one yet Chris but I'll certainly give it a try if I do.

Chocolate Salty Christmas Balls by Cervisiam

Christmas Stout, 0.33l can.

Wow. This was different. Black as sin and not really any head that lasted longer than a few seconds. Loads of chocolate and a dose of salt liquorice dominate both nose and taste. Not sure what to think really. Do I like it? A 0.33l is plenty for me but then again, it is a sipper and not something to gulp down. Interesting, I will say but I doubt I will seek it out and buy again.

I can see this is a beer that will draw a lot of scorn and rabid love, depending on one's palate. It's certainly not a meh beer.

The boy recently sent me a picture of a bottled beer he rates pretty highly whilst in the Phillipines and I've asked him to bring me a bottle back when he returns next month if he is able.

Moira loves licorice and chocolate, and she prefers stout to other types of beer so she would probably like it. I prefer a clear, strong ale myself.

This one just found its way into the fridge

Never had it before but I am 'somewhat' hyped to try it.
